Statute OF Limitations For California FEHA Claims Increased To Three Years Featured

California Governor Newsom has signed Assembly Bill 9 (Reyes), which extends the deadline for filing an employment-related administrative complaint with the Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) by two years.

Under existing law, employees have one year to file an administrative charge with DFEH. AB 9 extends the administrative filing period to three years, beginning on January 1, 2020. Read more here.
